Michael Heelan

Chair

A proud new father, Michael comes with career-long experience leading + directing nonprofits, with his most recent experience as the Director of Donor Relations at United Way of Forsyth County.


Hayley Sink

Secretary

Currently serving as the Marketing + Engagement Officer of Crosby Scholars Community Partnership, Hayley has displayed lifelong commitment to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities inspired by her older sister, Megan. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration – Nonprofit Management + previously served as Executive Director of ACCESS of Wilmington.


Jack Lauer

Treasurer

With over 40 years of experience in finance and accounting, Jack is currently the CFO of Pine Hall Brick, Co., Inc. His work experience includes public accounting, international taxation, and auditing. He holds an (inactive) CPA license. Jack also serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee for Arbor Acres. In his free time he enjoys traveling, playing ice hockey, and collecting baseball cards.


Tyke Arbaugh

Director

To be closer to extended family, Tyke Arbaugh, his wife Lisa and son Evan moved to Winston-Salem 25 years ago when Tyke joined Long Haymes Carr (which became Mullen in 2001). In 2011, Tyke moved to the banking world and joined the marketing team at BB&T, which is now Truist. He recently retired  and remains active in the community.  

In the community, Tyke has served on the board of Leadership Winston-Salem where he chaired the Arts + Culture Day committee + the Marketing committee.  He has also served on the board of Associated Artists of Winston-Salem + volunteered for many years at Samaritan Ministries as a dinner leader in the kitchen.


Karen Bartoletti

Director

Over the course of her career, Karen Bartoletti has served in a variety of senior management positions, for both for-profit and non-profit organizations.  Karen worked at Price Waterhouse, Sara Lee Corporation, Novant and the YMCA of Northwest NC.

Since retiring, she has devoted time to volunteering with organizations devoted to improving our community and quality of life for those in need.


Kelly Brozzetti Cronin, MD

Director

Kelly is a physician + assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She has numerous professional memberships, as well as honors + awards in her field. Kelly has been involved in a number of public outreach programs relating to mammography + breast cancer detection. 

In her non-professional life, Kelly is on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad. She also serves on the Board of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem. She is a mom of three children and her oldest daughter, Quinn just happens to have Down syndrome.  In her free time, Kelly loves all things sports and can often be found golfing with her husband, McNeil.


Lori Flinchum

Director

With 40+ years of accounting and administrative experience, Lori is currently serving as Director of Finance and Administration at the SECU Family House of Winston-Salem. She was part of the founding Board of Moji Coffee and is excited to be back to support this wonderful organization. 


Philip 'Opie' Kirby

Director

As a pioneer in Winston-Salem’s downtown restaurant community, Opie owned + operated local Irish Pub, Finnigan’s Wake, a friendly neighbor of ours on Trade Street. 

He serves the local community through constant charitable events + giving, such as the annual St. Baldrick’s Day event.


Bailey Liipfert III

Director

As a shareholder and director of Allman Spry Davis Leggett & Crumpler, PA., Bailey is a committed + specialized advocate of the disability community with practice focuses including disability planning + special needs trusts. 

He is also a charter member of the Special Needs Alliance.


Leslie Speas

Director

Leslie Speas is a senior-level Human Resources leader who has extensive experience in HR and talent development over a thirty-plus-year career. She is currently President of InfluenceHR Consulting, a consulting firm that helps busy leaders solve their people problems through solutions that influence retention, engagement, development and HR compliance.

Leslie is passionate about helping people meet their God-given potential and helping organizations facilitate a culture of engagement and well-being.

She is the author of 7 Habits of High-Retention Managers coming out in March. She also writes a weekly blog and provides other supporting resources on her business website, www.influencehrconsulting.com. She and her husband, Tracy, reside in Winston-Salem, N.C.
